An Afternoon Adventure | 30.3.15

Heya Everybody,
I'm currently on my Easter holiday or spring break if you're American and naturally I didn't get up till around lunch time so me and my family decided to go out and get some lunch and go on a little adventure.

We set off on our little adventure and ended up in Bakewell. Bakewell has to be one of my favourite places to go in England; it's out in the countryside and has a lot of cute little independent shops, it was also market day today so we had a quick look round there first but we didn't get anything there.

Okay so when we arrived it was like gone one and we were all hungry at this point so we went to one of our favourite little cafe' in Bakewell, Lime, we go here whenever we go to Bakewell as they do this best pannis.

And me being me I ordered a hot chocolate and a panni. I just kept it simple with a plain cheese one and then I had a cheeky little Easter bun!

this is one of the shops I mentioned; it's called I bought a couple of things from there. I got two metal letters a C and a J the C is for me and the J is for my younger cousin Jaime as part of her little Easter gift.

As we were walking back to the car we spotted a bridge with lots of locks on it was a bridge of love locks over looking the river and I also discovered my obsession with taking photos of walls!

Wall number 1...

...number 2 ft. my family walking in the distance...

...wall 3...

...and wall number 4, on the way home we stopped off at a couple of lay-bys to take photo's of the view.

Me and my dad spotted this little house all by itself in the middle of nowhere.

I hope you enjoyed today's slightly different post let me know if you'd like to see more like this and I'm off to Northumberland tomorrow so prepare yourself for a lot more photos!

My Skincare Routine | Spring into Summer

Hey,

So this is my next post in my latest series, Spring into Summer.
Now the last thing you want is a load of bad skin days when you're on holiday, so I thought that I would show you my skincare routine.

Olay double action day cream
Lacura Renew day cream
The first thing I do before getting ready is splash some cold water on my face; this helps me wake up and be ready for the day ahead. So then I start off with moisturiser; I have two, the olay one is lighter so I tend to put that on if I'm going to school or heading out early, but if I have a bit longer to get ready then I will use the other one that I actually got from Aldi! My mum had seen a review on one of the blogs she reads and bought it for me and I've got to say I really was impressed it is super hydrating and makes your face feel really soft.

Now on the rare occasions when we get a glimpse of the sun here in England I use this sun cream. It is specifically for your face, so it it doesn't turn your face blue or make you feel really oily. I got this while I was on holiday in France the other year so I'm not sure where you can get this from.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O

So then at the end of the day I tend to use Bioderma oil on a cotton pad to take off my make-up and cleanse my face and then wash it off with warm water. I loves this as it makes your skin feel so fresh (also got to mention it was one of my best friend Pippa who recommended it to me at our school Christmas fair).
Simple kind to skin cleansing facial wipes
Love Festival Facialwipes

If however I get in late or am just feeling lazy then I'll use make-up wipes. I really love the Simple kind to skin ones but I have also discovered PRIMARK face wipes they are actually surprisingly good and I can really recommend them and the best part about them is they're only £1!
Clean & Clear advantage oil control cream wash
Then last but not least is also a recent find (I got a free sample of with my magazine subscription to shout). I'm really lucky to have quite naturally clear skin and don't really tend to get spots but when I do they tend to hurt and can make my face quite oily and although they usually go away quite quickly they are a pain and so I use the Clean & Clear advantage oil control cream wash. I only use it when I have spots and have washed my face with the bioderma oil. When my face is still wet a rub on a little bit, mainly around the area of the spot and then make sure I wash it off thoroughly,
and them I'm all ready to go to bed!!

I hope you liked this post and maybe you've found a new product that will help you and your skin. let me know if you have any post request for this series.

My Gym Essentials | Spring into Summer

Heya Everyone,

I'm starting a new series today, Spring into Summer; to help you get ready to have an awesome summer. Today I'm going to be helping you start on you're confidence for summer AKA you're summer body. Now you're probably thinking that it's just about getting slim and toned for the summer but it's actually mainly about building up your confidence. You can be any shape or size but if you're not confident then you won't be looking as fabulous as you could do. Personally for me being healthy and active really helps boosts my confidence so what I do is go to the gym, I tend to go just once a week for an hour to an hour and a half and then at home I do workout videos and little exercise routines on week days (let me know if you'd like to see a post on my workout routine). Anyway enough rambling let's get on with the post.

It is really important to stay hydrated when exercising so definitely take a water bottle with you, although most gyms have a water fountain it's much easier and more hygienic to take your own water bottle to drink from.
The next two go together but it's your phone/iPod and headphones. Music can really help you get into your workout and distract you from the fact you are doing exercise so it will be more enjoyable. You can also listen to revision, you can record yourself if you have a speaking exam in languages or a really good app is GCSEPod it has lots of different podcasts for most subjects for individual subjects so say if you have a biology test coming up you can listen to them so you get in some revision while doing some exercise so you're killing two birds with one stone!
For me to want to go and workout I need comfy trainers; there is nothing worse than having trainers that don't fit you properly and rub on your heels, so I think it's definitely worth forking out for a good pair (mine are Nike Free 5.0).
Now I know that it kind of goes without saying but you don't want to be smelling in the gym so definitely make sure you take deodorant with you and also so you can freshen up at the end.

Let me know if you'd like me to do a review of my camera. Most of the photos I take for my posts will be taken on my camera from now on so look forward to better quality photos,

A Month of Memories

Heya,

So I thought I'd do a different kind of post, a month of memories.
One of my favourite things to do lately is take photos especially when the sun's out; so I'll do either this post or a monthly favourites or both  at the end of each month so you can see what I've been up to and what I've been loving over the last month. anyway lets get on to today's post.

1. The first photo me and my friends took on the way to my friend Emily's party when we were waiting for the tram
2. This was also taken at Emily's party when we got to the ice hockey match
3. This one was taken when I woke up and was on my way down to get breakfast I opened up the blinds and thought the sky looked pretty so obviously I took a photo of it!
4. Photo four was taken in my brothers school play ground while I was waiting for him
5. This photo was taken before my brothers school play started

6. These were photos I took at my grandmas house while I was waiting for my laptop to start up so I could write my last post
7. I took this during the half term holiday while I was outside in my garden
8. Now I can't actually remember when or where I took this photo but I thought it looked quite good
9. I took these two photos at a pub, the sportsman when I was there with my mum
10. This photo was taken in half term, I was just sat in my living room watching TV and the sun was shining into the room in a really pretty way so of course I photographed it
11. I went to pottering around (a paint-a-pot shop) with my mum and friend, Julia
12. This is outside the royal armouries museum with my family at the end of half term
13. I took this when I went on a Starbucks date with my mum

I hope you liked seeing a bit more about me and what I got up too,
Charlotte x
